Digital Billboards Used To Pay Tribute To Penn State Coach Joe Paterno

Just four days ago marks the passing of legendary college football coach Joe Paterno.  Paterno had a profound effect on many lives, so his passing is followed by a lingering sadness.

In memorial of Paterno, digital billboards are lighting up Syracuse, with the message “In Memoriam, Joe Paterno 1926-2012.”

Paterno coached at Penn State for 46 years, from 1966 – 2011, and holds the record for the most victories by a college football coach with 400.  Although his career was clouded with the recent sex scandal, it is undeniable that Paterno was one of the most influential and prominent figures in college football history.

This is another great example of the wide range of uses for digital billboards.
